Save the date for the third edition of the MeteoXchange ECS Conference, a virtual conference for early career scientists in Atmospheric Sciences and related disciplines. The event is completely free of charge. Join us on April 4th and 5th for keynote lectures, poster and oral sessions and social events.
Improve your presentation skills and dive into the world of scientific exchange in a friendly environment! Registration for the conference is open until March 22nd and for the abstract submission until March 5th. We welcome abstracts from all fields related to atmospheric and climate sciences and from all backgrounds (Bachelor, Master, Phd…). Submit your abstract and be a part of the final program tailored to participants from all time zones as best as possible. Workshop information
This year we will offer a workshop “How to Science Slam” which will take place as a one-day workshop on March 21st. The workshop is planned to take place from 9am – 5pm UTC.
This workshop teaches the basics of science slam. Participants will start by learning how to present their research in a way that is understandable to a lay audience and will use best practice examples to analyze how they can tailor their presentations to the target group at a science slam. In practical exercises, participants will have time to find their personal science slam style and improve their presentations with feedback from trainers and colleagues.
Please only register for the workshop if you can attend the whole day and have time to prepare a short presentation in the style of a science slam of about 5 minutes in advance. You will be able to present and optimize your presentation during the workshop.
General conference information
The conference will again be fully online on the Gathertown platform. Further information on the program, how to join and how to upload presentations and posters for the topics accepted will be sent out in due time to registered participants.
